The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1870s.
Antique silver fusee pocket watch, 1876.
The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover and then a silver dust cover.

The watch measures 46mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop, so a little smaller than a standard 50mm pocket watch. The case is silver and there are hallmarks for London 1876 with a maker’s mark for the Coventry case maker John Fleckner. The case is in lovely condition, just some rubbing to the edge of the engine turned detail to the back of the watch. Vacant central cartouche.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The dial has some damage to the left of the subsidiary seconds dial and to the very edge by number 12. There are also several hairline cracks.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
