Puckerings has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Of course, what makes this a rare and highly collectable piece is the handle, made from solid English silver with enamel. The handle is, of course, a perpetual calendar changed by the little wheel, moved to line up the day with the date; the S for Sunday is red, rather than blue, and crossed through, as a day of rest.

The silver is hallmarked for Chester (rubbed) 1895 together with the makers mark for top-notch silversmith, Walker and Hall. Below this is an old inscription for "Ronald".
Excellent antique condition, a few little knocks to the handle but nothing of significance.
8" x 3/4" x 3/4".
