Description

A charming antique ash and elm smoker’s bow chair. The back and arms are raised on attractively shaped spindles. The elm seat is also raised on thick turned legs, with a shaped and turned double ‘H’ stretcher support. In addition, G.R.V is stamped to the back (pictured) along with a maker’s mark. This means that this item was inventoried in the reign of King George V, and belonged to a public building of significance.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including minor losses to the rear right leg. Of sturdy construction.
