A very attractive late 19th.C. French kingwood, rosewood and satinwood marquetry inlaid 3 drawer chest. Of unusual oval form, the top having a three quarter brass gallery with a panel of marquetry flowers within a cross banded border. The sides and bow fronted drawers with conforming floral marquetry inlay and working brass locks with key. The chest is raised on elegant cabriole legs and joined with an inlaid under tier which has a brass gallery, the feet supported with brass sabots.
