A charming Victorian sepia albumen print photograph of the Bird Family Of Foxley, Towcester, Northamptonshire And Later Of Litchborough, Towcester, dating to around 1885.
The family are posed in their Victorian dress, some holding tennis rackets, with William Bird (born 1832) taking centre stage sitting on a wicker armchair. A wonderful insight into Victorian life.
The photograph is presented in a nice old oak frame with gilt mount.
Fortunately the family is well documented on two pieces of paper attached to the back of the frame, which gives us all of their names and dates.
