Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
In pine covered with beaten copper across the top front and sides with lovely Arts & Crafts style raised repoussé spade or bulb motifs to the lid and front plus similarly shaped applied iron straps to the lid. Raised on castors. Presented as found with some obvious wear, the base would appear to have been replaced at some point.
Dimensions: width 22½", depth 15", height 15" (max internal height 11").
