Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1870s.
High quality and large gilded ormolu mounts of cheerful heads with laurel leaf crowns to the pilasters either side of the door, plus additional mounts above and below and extensive gilded moundings across the piece. Right hand opening door with original serpentine shaped glass panel, fitted inside with two shelves (maximum depth 11") with a pink velvet lining. Raised on a tall plinth, also veneered and crossbanded to match, with shaped front and pierced ormolu mount. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
Please note though it fits into right angle corner the dimensions of the sides at the rear are different. The left side being 6" longer than the right, with the back corner being off-set accordingly.
