19th Century Elm and Ash Windsor Chair

An intriguing 19th century Windsor chair. The stick back has shaped arms and supports. Raised on rounded legs with a shaped ‘H’ stretcher support. A piece with remarkable, visible character and history.

CONDITION REPORT:

In well-worn antique condition throughout with various signs of age. There is surface wear in places including the seat (pictured). An attractive, charming shape from centuries of use. A lovely patina throughout. Evidence of historic woodworm that is long gone and has been treated as a precaution. There is a repair to the middle back band (pictured). Exceptionally good historic repair to front of band with curved metal strap (pictured). Of good construction.
