This Victorian mahogany pedestal desk was made circa 1885.

Due to the style of the original brass swing handles, we date this to a 15year period, as this is the period where the design was the height of fashion.

As with all original pedestal desks this comes into 3 parts to allow you to move this easily to and around your home. (the top section and the pair of pedestals)

The pedestal desk is fitted the usual combination of 3 drawers in the top section and a further 3 graduated drawers in each pedestal. The rear of the desk is finished so that it can be set in the middle of a room or office if required.

A leather hide inset writing surface that we have hand dyed, then gilt and blind tooled by hand.
