Description

A large and good quality late19th Century figured mahogany pedestal desk. The rectangular thumb moulded top having a very good old tooled green leather writing surface with blind and gilt tooling. One side having an unusual arrangement of 10 graduated drawers with applied mouldings and brass swan neck handles. Each pedestal with a useful pull out slide, the ends with moulded panels. The reverse having 2 cupboards with panelled doors and applied mouldings and mahogany faced shelf interiors. The pedestals raised on off set plinth bases with hidden castors below. The whole in very good condition, cleaned and waxed, mahogany lined throughout and with working brass 4 lever locks and keys. Ready for the home or office. Dimensions:- Height ...31.5’’ / 80cm.
