Art Deco World has dated this piece to the 1930s.

Having just been serviced this watch is keeping very good time, ultrasonically cleaned and with a new good quality soft black leather strap which has been added with a gold plated rose colour buckle to match the casing. the condition is excellent and remarkable for it's age and as good as anyone could hope for.

SIZE 21mm wide, excluding crown x 34mm total length.
Width: 21mm, excluding crown.
Length: 28mm without the lugs; 34mm total length including lugs.
Thickness: 8mm, including crystal.
Viewable dial/crystal: 17.5mm x 21.5mm.

Strap: 16mm tapering slightly to 14mm at the buckle.
Wrist fitting: The watch should fit a wrist size of between 165mm and 190mm.
The outside back is signed 14k GOLD FILLED BULOVA, with the case serial number starting with ‘8’ which, on a Bulova of this era and with this particular movement, signifies a manufacture date of 1948. The inside back is also signed BULOVA FIFTH AVE NEW YORK. The case-back fits perfectly to the top, snapping on tightly and securely with no gaps.

This watch is powered by a high-quality BULOVA 21-jewel 7AK hand-wound mechanical movement. The 7AK was manufactured from 1936 until 1949 and with its 21 jewels would have been one of Bulova’s top-of-the-range watches at the time. It also features a Breguet hairspring, as used by other high-end watch companies, including Rolex, and noted for more consistent timekeeping for the duration of the wind.
