Description

A beautiful and pristine pair of French Opera Glasses dating to around 1890 / 1900. late Victorian or early Edwardian.

It's always rather nice to come across these silver coloured one's made from early Aluminium, this set have been painstakingly taken apart, professionally polished and and reassembled. The Mother of pearl has a glossy patina and the eyepieces are inset with shell too.

The handle extends in two drawers and the joint to the glasses in excellent firm condition.

Complete with a (new) chocolate brown velvet pouch, they are in superb condition. Measuring 3 3/4" x 2" expanding to 2 3/8"; the handle measures 4 1/2" closed extending to 8 1/2".
