A Pair of Original Equestrian Hunting Scene Engravings by Henry Thomas Alken (12 October 1785 – 7 April 1851), published by Thomas Mclean, 26 Haymarket, London, May 1st c. 1830, in original dark Oak frames. Titled ‘IDEAS – getting OVER with the likelihood of coming ON, My good fellow, I have an IDEA that I shall be right ON the top of you‘ together with ‘IDEAS. – I positively have no IDEA what I am to do in this case – have YOU my good fellow?’. Contemporary hand coloured in gouache.
