Fabulous Pair of Victorian Sterling Silver Wine Coasters by Thomas Bradbury & Sons, London 1898

Description

These exquisite Victorian solid silver coasters have a very elegant design and were made by the renowned firm Thomas Bradbury & Sons. They are dated London 1897. The straight sides pierced with geometric patterns and engraved with bright-cut embellishments. The turned wooden base bases with a beautiful rich patina and green baize on the underside.

Hallmarks:

Oner located on the rim, the other on the reserve.

TB for Thomas Bradbury & Sons.

London Assay Mark.

Date letter "b" for 1897.

Lion Passant.

No loss to pierced decorations.

Replacement green baize at the base.

Hallmarks a little rubbed at places, commensurate with age.
