Description

Antique silver double watch albert and fob.

Each chain measures 25cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The T-bar is hallmarked for 1900 with a maker’s mark for the Birmingham silversmiths, Payton Pepper & Sons. Each of the links has the lion silver mark.

The albert comes with a silver fob, hallmarked for 1901 with a maker’s mark for the silversmith and fob maker Herbert Bushell. Originally there would have been a gold wash over the shield on the front of the medal but a lot of this has rubbed off over the years. The back of the fob is free from any personal inscriptions although there is light surface marking.
