Description

A very good Edwardian period inlaid mahogany writing desk, or table. Well constructed in solid mahogany with attractive mahogany veneers and embellished with inlaid stringing throughout. The superstructure with 2 pairs of short stationary drawers and surmounted with a crisply cast brass gallery. The main body of the table is fitted with a sumptuous black leather writing surface complete with gilt tooled decorations to the surrounds. With a series of 2 pairs of short drawers flanking a longer central drawer. The central drawer is lockable (key supplied) and all drawers are fitted with their original solid brass handles. All standing on long , elegant, tapering legs which terminate in their original brass and brown ceramic castors. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home or office.
