Mahogany Pembroke Side Table C.1820

19th century
Description

Handsome little early 19th.c. drop leaf Pembroke side table c.1820. Particularly well figured solid mahogany top with a moulded edge and two folding leaves held open on hinged loafers. Over a single drawer to one end with a inlaid front and original brass knobs all repeated as a dummy drawer front on the rear. Raised on slim crisply turned and reeded legs n the manner of Gillows with neat little brass castors. Old woodworm holes (most obvious in the sides below the table top), otherwise very good original colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
