A charming Victorian taxidermy pair of Green Woodpeckers, perched in a naturalistic setting on tree branches, the ebonised case having a gilt slip and a fantastic Victorian taxidermist’s label on the back, for:
 
Lewis Hutton, ‘Naturalist, Plumasier & Furrier; Birds, Animals And Fish Preserved On The New Scientific Modelling Principle etc. 2 & 3 Broad Quay (Opposite The Drawbridge), Bristol’.
 
Condition:
 
Slight loss of the green pigmentation to the birds, but otherwise in good antique condition with no issues or damage.
