Antique Victorian Mahogany Davenport Desk C1880

Antique Victorian Mahogany Davenport Desk and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a low gallery back with original leather sliver to the writing slope which opens to reveal storage space and two small drawers. To one side of the top there are two sliding drawers and to the other side there is a book slide. The top is supported on large barley twist supports to the front mahogany panel. To one side there is a door which opens to reveal four mahogany lined drawers with original knob handles. The desk is raised on turned feet on castors.

MEASURES: 35.5” HIGH X 19.5” DEEP X 19” DEEP

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
