Antique Regency Mahogany Bureau C1820

Antique Regency Mahogany Bureau and dating from around 1820. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a fall front with wide crossbanded edge and original escutcheon. This opens to to rest on sliding lovers and reveals a very nice interior with serpentine shaped small drawers either side of a central door with secret bookend compartment. Either side of the door is a pigeon hole with shaped frieze above and with a long secret drawer. It has a baize writing surface. This is above four graduating oak lined drawers with original brass handles and lock escutcheons . It is raised on ogee bracket feet and is of excellent quality.

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
