Victorian Burr Walnut Tilt Top Table

A particularly good Victorian antique burr walnut centre table with tilt top. It has a rich colour and patina throughout. The oval tilt top has a veneered edge. The tilt top sits on a carved pedestal with shaped supports. Raised on shaped and carved legs with castors. To the underside of the surface top is the makers badge ‘James Phillips and Sons Ltd Bristol’. A wonderful piece of obvious quality.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related wear and marks to the surface top (pictured). Some minor losses to the veneer. Evidence of historic treated worm to the underside of the table and base, though this is long gone and has been treated as a precaution. The castors are original and run well. As intended, the table top tilts and does so smoothly.
