A very elegant, high quality and usable pair of Georgian Sauceboats. They have a beautiful colour and feel. They are a practical size and are perfect for gravy.
Both have a superbly engraved vacant cartouche to the side.
Both are fully hallmarked for London 1765.
Makers mark of William Portal & James King II to both.
The last photograph shows the makers mark as found in Grimwades, it is a maker I have precious not encountered.
They are in a very good condition with no damage, thin patches or repairs.
They both stand steady and true.
Some light surface wear as expected for their age.
352 grams or 11.35 Troy Oz combined weight.
16cm length including the handle.
7.5cm width.
9.3cm height to the tip of the handle.
An eye catching pair of Georgian Silver Gravy Boats that will look fantastic on the table and in use.
