Description

A neat, well-presented 19th century antique mahogany bureau. The fall front opens to reveal several serpentine shaped drawers, as well as pigeonholes. To the middle is a central decorative cupboard door that can be opened with a key. Throughout the fitted interior is decorative inlay. Underneath this is an arrangement of two short over three long graduating drawers, each with swan neck handles. The top two drawers are flanked by pull-out support arms. Raised on shaped bracket feet.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including some age-related scratches, wear and water staining to the top (pictured). Shrinkage cracks to veneer on fall front (pictured). Surface wear, marks and staining to writing surface inside (pictured). Minor losses to beading on some drawers (pictured). Overall, a good quality, attractive antique mahogany bureau.
