Description

Fine quality bronze bust of Abraham Lincoln,c1880. It is a good weight (0.44kg) and a well composed and executed casting with fine detailing to the features, hair etc. It is marked on the base with details of the artist 'F Simmons Sculp' ,the foundry 'Mitler and Co Metallists Providence Rhode island' and the subject 'Pres A Lincoln'. It has great colour/patina following many years of handling. Overall condition is good with only very minor surface wear in line with age and use.
