Digby Antiques (Wiltshire) has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The silver is in lovely condition, the marks are clear.
The centre is a porcelain plaque which can be written on and can then be cleaned.
There are one or two minor nibbles to the edge of the plaque.
Sadly there is no pencil with it, but it works with a normal pencil.
The leather is in pretty good condition commensurate with age.
