Artisan Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.

The front lid of the case features a beautiful 'herring-bone' guilloche enamel motif that allows for the light to glisten and beautifully reflect upon differing angles.
The reverse side of the case presents a plain, mirror-like finish with a slightly concave design.

Internally, the case features a silver-gilt gold tone that wonderfully contrasts the exterior silver and blue colour, whilst allowing for cigarettes/content to be placed within without tarnishing the silver.

The case is hallmarked on the interior of the lid with clear full English marks.
