Description

Art Deco marble mantle clock c.1930. Striking design, with an unusual rocket shaped case in highly figured grey and orange marble. With gilded ormolu mounts of grapes and vine leaves to the base and a bead moulding around the orange marble centre. Eight day brass works striking the hours and half hours on a bell. White enamel face behind a convex glass cover with gilded bezel. With a tiny chip to the enamel just beside the adjuster at the top of the clock face, otherwise excellent original condition.
