Description

A stunning and very rare pair of antique Biedermeier period side chairs. These date from around the 1820-30’s period and were most likely made in Sweden or Austria.

They are beautifully made from solid walnut, with segmented burr walnut veneers on the backs, with ebony inlays in-between. The design is gorgeous & the backs have a wonderful shape. The sabre legs give an even more refined look to these, and are typical of the period.

We have had these recently re-polished and re-upholstered in our cream cotton fabric. they are in excellent condition for their age.
