Antique Omega pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, signed Omega, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a sunburst effect to the inside, together with Swiss hallmarks for 800 silver.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver and the inside of the case back has the Swiss hallmarks together with the early Omega logo. The case has a rose gold wash around the bezel, centre section and around the edge of the case back, this style of case is known as galonne. Overall, the case is in good condition, just a small “ding” to the case back and most of the rose gold wash has worn off the centre section, but remains on the bezel and back. Crisp engine turned detail to the back of the watch with a vacant cartouche to the centre.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed with the Omega name. It is unusual to have a black dial on this style of watch, but it is all original. The condition is good, just a short scratch near the centre but not too noticeable at all. Original ornate hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track with 24 hour num-bers.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
