Late C18th George III Sheraton period mahogany folding drop-leaf two-tier ‘dumb-waiter’ of scarce octagonal form .
Smart graduated two-tier table or ‘dumb-waiter’ with hinged folding leaves of octagonal outline. The folding leaves held in the horizontal raised position by a shaped revolving support beneath each tier .
The edges of the platforms with raised ‘cock-beaded’ edges .Raised on an elegant central turned column with central vase detail sections , the whole surmounted by an unusual large cone-shaped spiral carved finial.
The swept tripod support base fitted with original box-toe brass castors and wheels .
In excellent original condition with a deep , rich patina and colour .
