Mahogany Pad Top Bracket Clock by Langford of Southampton.
The silvered, engraved dial features both Roman and Arabic numerals, with very fine blued steel hands, a strike/silent option within the break arch and a brass hand for the concentric date.
The 8-day, twin fusee striking movement with anchor escapement strikes the hours to a single bell situated above the movement via a rack and snail striking system. The clock has substantial plates bound together by 5 knopped pillars with the back plate being nicely engraved around the boarder. The mahogany case is beautifully made with fish scale frets in both sides, glazed doors to the front and back of the clock with a brass bound pad on top of the case with carrying handle fixed above.
