Regulator Longcase Clock – Skelton – London

Description

A very fine regulator of superb quality, the 8-day substantial timepiece movement consists of 5 baluster pillars between a lovely pair of thick brass plates, fine wheels and Harrisons maintaining power and stop work for winding, the movement is weight driven with dead-beat escapement.

The superb grid-iron pendulum has the bob signed Skelton London with a temperature variation scale engraved upon the brass bob and a fine blued steel hand descending from the grid-iron pendulum rods to show the current temperature. The 11” silvered and engraved dial is of a typical regulator style with a single centre hand showing the minutes and two subsidiary dials to show the minutes and seconds, all with very finely blued steel hands.

Serviced and guaranteed for 3 years.
