A Fine Marquetry Longcase Clock by Samuel Barrow of London

Early 18th century marquetry inlaid 8-day longcase clock by Samuel Barrow of London. A good quality early 11” square brass dial, 5 knopped pillar ‘8-day’ count wheel strike movement, typical London marquetry/walnut veneered case showing early features, of excellent colour and patination. The dial with finely matted centre, seconds and calendar with the makers name to chapter ring.

A highly attractive and outstanding clock from the golden age of clock making.

Samuel Barrow was apprenticed to John Barrow, who was later Master of the Clockmakers’ Company in 1714.

Serviced and guaranteed for 3 years.
