Description

A high quality English Skeleton clock. A mahogany base under an original glass dome. A superior 6-spoke wheel fusee mechanism with passing strike to the hours. Signed to the silvered chapter ring 'T Russell, Halifax'.

The Russell family of clockmakers from Liverpool and Halifax are highly regarded makers. This example dates to circa 1840.
