It appears to have been given as a prize to T. T Smith in 1927, with an engraving around the rim 'Kirkwall Bowling Club Rink Competition'. Kirkwall is in Orkney and the makers were based in Aberdeen, with Assay entries for both Edinburgh and Chester. Dimensions below.
