Oak Coffee Table Carved with Lions C.1890

Description

Late 19th.c. oak centre table c.1890 reduced in height to make an large feature coffee table. 51" x 44½" oval top in solid oak with a carved and moulded edge and shallow oak veneered apron. Sturdy turned column pedestal with carved detail and raised on four legs. On top of each leg crouches a large lion, also carved in oak, with their mouths open in a fierce snarl. Rustic character with some wear, generally very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
