Description

Circa 1890-1910 a tall brass corinthian column lamp, once the base of a oil lamp and converted to electricity. The quality of the casting can be seen in the clear shape and style of the capital at the top.

We put a felt covered base on the bottom of the lamp after the photographs were taken.

The light measures 43cm in height; 37cm to the flat top of the column and the base is 14cm square. It weighs 2.5kgs and should have an up to date PAT test before use although the previous owner had the lamp rewired fairly recently.
