A fine quality Victorian folio cabinet in the Aesthetic manner and possibly by Lamb of Manchester.

The top having an ormolu three quarter gallery around the amboyna cross banding with ivorine stringing. The cushion moulded edge with further amboyna and ivorine inlay. The frieze having a green ground Jasper Ware plaque with 5 classical female figures and set within an ormolu mount and flanked by scrolling ivorine inlaid to amboyna. The stiles having applied square and tapering columns with ormolu Ionic capitals and circular Jasper ware plaques set within ormolu mounts above inlaid graduated harebells. The single door with inset mirror plate and opens to reveal a mahogany lined interior with 5 open drawers and 4 partitions. The whole raised on an inverted and inlaid breakfront frieze with further ormolu mouldings and turned feet. Dimensions:- Height…45’’/ 114cm. Width…21’’/ 53.5cm. Depth…16’’/ 40.5cm.
