Description

Fabulous Regency era mahogany couch or window seat c.1820. Raised cylindrical ends either side of a sprung seat. Unusual carved mahogany fronts to the ends featuring extravagantly scrolling plant forms around a flower head at the centre of each. Moulded apron with well figured symmetrically arranged flame mahogany veneers and a large carved acanthus leaf detail at the centre. Apron continues to form the front feet shaped to echo the arm fronts and with further Classical inspired carved detail. Freshly upholstered in a soft grey woven fabric. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
