Mid-size 9ct gold Grosvenor wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, identified as by the ebauche (blank movement) manufacturer Fabrique d'Horlogerie Fontainemelon, which is working nicely. In the photos, you can see two empty screw holes within the movement… these retaining screws are not required in this instance because the shaped case is designed to hold the movement in place.

The watch measures 29mm wide excluding the winding crown and 29mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for

Glasgow (import mark), 1930. Overall the case is in good condition, just some unevenness to the hinged case back.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The dial is signed Grosvenor. This brand name was registered by Reichenberg & Cie of La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1928. The textured dial is in its original finish with blued steel Breguet style hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
