Description

Fine George III figured mahogany breakfront wardrobe in the style of Robert Adam. The superb dentil, beaded and moulded cornice having carved drapes & ties, scrolling fauna and a central urn. The linen press centre with 2 beautifully panelled doors with applied mouldings and corner patrae and open to reveal 4 open drawer slides over the chest base which has 2 short and 2 long cock beaded drawers with brass ring pulls. Flanked by two full length doors again with conforming beading and patrae they open to 2 hanging sections with brass clothes hooks and rails. The whole raised on spayed feet with unusual acanthus leaf carving.

This superb Georgian Wardrobe/LinenPress is oak lined and has working brass locks with keys.This wardrobe comes in 6 sections for transport these consisting of the two hanging end sections the centre drawer section the top linen section cornice and plinth base.
