Victorian Globular Photograph Frame.

Description

This unusual Victorian globular photograph frame which is made of brass has 12 glazed apertures for individual photographs and is a rare collectable piece.

The ball shape makes it nicely tactile and each disc can be removed to insert a photograph of a loved one. Comes with the 8 photographs that are inserted.

Material: Brass. Glass.

Period: Late 19th Century. c1873.

Marks: Reg lozenge mark for 1873, GB & Sons.

Diameter: 8 cm (3 1/8").

Weight: 216g.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. Ball has been polished at some time. Some light dings and a couple of flecks to glass.
