A Whisky Interest Victorian Silver Snuff Box

19th century
Description

A delightful late Victorian silver snuffbox of rectangular form. This elegant example is of good gauge silver and has an interesting and collectable inscription.

"With compliments from Mackie & Guy Distillers Ltd. Glasgow & Islay 1896."

The lid is hinged and the box is of superb quality. A handsome and interesting example, both collectable and decorative. Would serve well as a large pill box as an alternative use. Dimensions below.
