~ French - Circa 1900 ~

~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A stunning original antique French Rococo clock. It is beautifully modelled in gilded bronze, of waisted shape, profusely decorated with 'C' scrolls, acanthus leaves and trailing foliage. To the top is an elaborate handled urn with flame finial.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with its original finely fretted blued steel hands.

The French movement is by A. D. Mougin and is of the maker's usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip to hear the bell and watch the clock running.

Condition of the case is excellent, beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in very good condition just a small chip to the right hand winding hole and a faint hairline.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
