Oak Dough Bin C.1790

18th century
Description

Late 18th.c. oak dough bin c.1790. Originally designed for the mixing and proving of bread dough, ideal now as a rustic sideboard with storage inside. Flat, rather than panelled three plank top with thumb moulded edge. Over a tapering box (internal height 10½") with an applied moulding around the front edge. Raised on a oak stand with turned and block legs joined with stretchers to each side for strength. Oak back and floor boards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
