A stunning Antique Silver Punch Bowl made in the Charles II style, it is crested to both sides with 17th century style crests. One crest has a ship to the centre. It is a very high quality piece and it has been made from a generous gauge of silver which gives it a good solid feel and a beautiful deep shine.
The last 2 photographs show the Heraldic Research for the Crest of the family Tennant who the crest belonged to.
Fully hallmarked for London 1933.
Makers mark of Richard Comyns Ltd.
It is free from any damage or repairs,
Stands steady and true.
It has just been professionally polished so it is free from denting or deep scratching.
The bowl has a thick cast and applied rim, as the photographs show there are marks all the way round underneath the rim. I believe this is original and done to give the bowl a look of being very old.
The inside is in good order.
1235 grams.
27cm diameter.
13.5cm height.
A wonderful piece of silver that will be a pleasure to use and will also look wonderful on display.
