A pretty watercolour painting of flowers painted in bold colours on silk. The bright colours of the Art deco period and stylisation of the painting are quintessesntial 1930s.
Professionally mounted and framed in Gilt reeded Oak frame.
Signed and dated Dorothy Granger 1935, LR
Provenance : Anglo-American family
There is an unsupported story that this was painted by the American Actress Dorothy Granger who was later involved in the textiles bnusiness with her husband in los Angeles . This is supported by the fact the painting is on silk.
