Description

An extremely rare early Old Sheffield Plated coffee pot dating to c1760. Very much in the George II style, this beautiful coffee pot represents the first generation of Old Sheffield Plate manufacture. Bearing four unattributed pseudo hallmarks and stylised handle. With visible seams in the interior and exterior.

The condition is very good considering the age of the piece, with no major dents and only a small amount of copper bleed to the finial and around the spout. Signs of early repairs to the finial and the join of the spout.

The handle is firm and has some scratches but no deep splits. The wear is expected and doesn't really detract from the overall splendour of the object.

This is a true collectors piece of elegant stature.
