The gilt body with a ring loop, above the rotating cursor bezel, marking against an altitude ring, and a barometric pressure ring, the silvered dial with weather indications, and the makers name, 'J GOULD, OPTICIAN, BIRMINGHAM'. The whole within the velvet and silk lined Moroccan leather carrying case.
Circa 1880.
