This early French commode has a primitive country style with beautiful aged colour.

It has a simple three drawer construction. One escutcheon has been replaced a long time ago but is in keeping with the piece. There is a strong repair on the top corner and there are old woodworm holes throughout. There is also a key.

Due to its early age, this chest has seen small changes to it but it is a beautiful period useful item of furniture.
